Rome-based rock project Atom Lux has released the official music video for “Weirdos From Teegarden B,” the closing track from the EP Kamikaze Butterfly.
Atom Lux is the musical alter ego of singer and multi-instrumentalist Lucio Filizola. Launched in 2023, the project quickly grew into a full live band in 2024, combining elements of psych, alternative, garage, power-pop, space-rock, post-punk, and prog into a distinctive sound.
“Weirdos From Teegarden B” tells the story of a group of alien outsiders from the planet Teegarden B. Highly advanced in space travel, they spend their free time roaming the galaxy, jumping from planet to planet on chaotic adventures. Along the way, they loot worlds, kidnap people, and even keep the song’s narrator as one of their pets.
The music matches the story with a restless psych-prog sound that keeps the energy moving from beginning to end, creating the perfect backdrop for this imaginative sci-fi adventure.
