So let’s have a listen

Right away, I’m taken with this beautiful single-note acoustic guitar riff that is modulating between G and C. It’s a unique way of playing the chords, and one that is very appealing to a mass audience. Bravo Avery!

Next, I’m taken by the voice. Ms. Tompkins can sing! I love the repeating delayed keyboard riff at the beginning of the song, that pick back up with drums in the pre-chorus lift. The lyrics nail the mood, as does the little piano single-note riff buried in the mix under the chorus. I’m loving the stripped down instrumentation on this track; it’s a very appealing package. I’m loving the doubled vocals in the 2nd verse. The production is great. The final chorus seals the deal. This song is destined for greatness.

SCORE/Outstanding: I’m really taken with this new song by Avery Tompkins. A bare bones arrangement with tons of mass appeal. This song is destined for a nice ride on commercial radio. Check it out! Much love, Beth
