Sabrina Carpenter – Short n’ Sweet (Album Review)

The New Generation Z “Sabrina Carpenter” is following Hilary Duff’s Style

Who is this Sabrina Carpenter? you may ask, Sabrina Carpenter ( Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter) was born on May 11^th, in 1999. She was an American singer and actress. She was born and raised in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, in the U.S. First she was seen on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World (2014-2017) and gained fame all around the world.

After that, she signed an agreement with Hollywood Records to release her new debut single “Can’t Blame A Girl For Trying” in 2014. She has released 6 albums. Eyes Wide Open ( 2015), Evolution(2016), singular Act I (2018) , Singular Act II(2019), Emails I Can’t Send (2022), and the last and newly released Short n’ Sweet (2024).

Short n’ Sweet is a really bitter-sweet symphonies.

This album has so many feelings inside it. When you listen to the songs “Taste” and “Please Please Please” , these songs can make you travel when you are at the age of 16 or 19. These songs reflect us a real teenager dreams. But Good Graces, and Espresso show us the feeling of a woman who is at 40 years old.

Espresso is a real summer hit song in her album. But I realized that her voice is similar to Hillary Duff’s voice in some of her song, but the other songs don’t have an harmony with her voice. She unbelievably sang “Taste” , “Please Please Please”, “Sharpest Tool”, “Coincidence”, but “Bad Chem” doesn’t fit at all. It similar to Madonna’s “Holiday” both melodically and instrumentally. Beside of this if someone sang “Juno” it must have been “Lady Gaga”. Lady Gaga’s voice fits for this song better than Sabrina’s.

Which song of hers is really impressive and hits the charts?

Her song is “Taste” is one of her most impressive songs in her album. And the other one is “Please Please Please” too. She clipped all of her songs, but if she clipped only one or two song, we would wonder about the other songs and dream whenever we listen to the others. She clipped “Taste” but her clip story is inspired by Lady Gaga’s, although Lady Gaga was never as brutal as she became. She became brutal and used knives. This video clip also supports violence between the people. I recommend she make a clip for this song with a good atmosphere of Gwen Stefani’s Cool in 2000s.

I have watched the “Please Please, Please” song clp and I’ve seen that either she wants to be like Lady Gaga, or Lady Gaga inspires her. At the beginning of the clip there is a story inside in a prison and there is a girl who visits her imprisoned lover in the jail. Her clothes are styling and the clip atmosphere appears Lady Gaga’s Telephone.

As a result of that, I heard her voice and her voice is like Hillary Duff’s but her clip styling is totally Lady Gaga. I recommend her to have made duet with Madonna for her “Dumb and Poetic” song and her other song “Juno” and “Espresso” she should have made a duet with Lady Gaga.

Her Billboard Chart History

When we see her Billboard Chart History for her new album, her most popular song has been “Taste” always on the top since she released it and we see it in the 2^nd row in the list. When we look at “Espresso”, it is at least 20 weeks in the 3^rd  row and from 04.27.24 to 06.22.24 it has great popularity in the US.

Her songs have a rivalry also between each other and it should make Sabrina Carpenter happy. I hope she gets recovers her style, especially in the music clips and we can see her in a more innocent type. She has been a newborn star and I wish her good luck.

Score/ Good : “Short n’ Sweet” is a branch of love, intrigue, adultery of work that shows us the incidents in real life that Sabrina Carpenter sang. I think she will be a succesful musician in the future if she makes duet with Madonna, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. Her music genre is pop , but her voice is eligible to try rock and pop-rock.
