Yaahuwa the Reconciler – Galactic Council of Holy Good Salam (Single Review)

‘Galactic Council of Holy Good Samal’ is the new single by Yaahuwa the Reconciler. The song is more spoken word incantations, the instrumentation more atmospheric. The incantations are more poetic and perhaps play out sporadically. Think of it as a personal prayer and as exhortations meant to spread a message to the listener.

The atmospheric instrumentation combined with this prayerful delivery makes for an eerie feeling, but it’s a kind of song that’s in a way transcendental. This is not dance or love music, but spiritual music, if you will.  

The incantations sometimes sound like singing, but the clearer parts are when the narrator is more speechlike and says words like, ‘Put down this war’. To summarily put it down, this is a song that calls for peace.

SCORE/Good: This is a song you don’t listen to for artistic reasons. You listen to it for what it says: it talks about peace. It’s a forceful song, leaving me with a question: is forceful music bad music?
